Let’s talk about books today..
Here’s a fun fact: My husband gets annoyed when I buy a new book to read. Why? I sit down (typically with a cup of coffee or mug of tea), crack it open then shove my nose directly into the pages and say, “MMM… I LOVE the smell of a new book.”
And what does my husband say? “I KNOW!!!!!!! GEEZ!!! You’re so weird!” He’s a techy type that would rather download the book on his phone, which is unimaginable to me. Isn’t it funny how opposites attract? It’s hard to get that new book smell when sniffing a download. 😉
I LOVE the smell of a brand new book. Call me crazy but it’s the most comforting yet exciting smell. Maybe it’s because my mind knows it’s about to get lost in either a good story or lots of knowledge. Just sitting there for hours, reading, underlining, dog-earing the pages, making mental notes.. it’s addictive!
