Is that perfect, all purpose seasoning mix like a unicorn to you?

Or maybe I was the only one with that struggle?  😉

This simple homemade mix was the perfect solution to my problem. It took me a while to get the ingredients just right but now that I’ve mastered it, I use it on EVERYTHING. Chicken, ground beef, eggs, potatoes, cauliflower rice, brussels sprouts, asparagus, sweet potatoes – you name it!

It literally turned this fridge dump meal into a total win with my kids.. despite how uh.. interesting.. it ended up looking.

Fridge dump meal: potatoes, mixed veggies, black beans, ground turkey and my magic seasoning mix!

No joke, I created this meal based on whatever needed to be used up in the fridge then waited until everyone else gobbled it down first before trying it myself. Does that make me a bad mom? To take it a step further, I even set it in front of them all serious like they better not speak a word about it’s appearance. After finally trying it myself, I mentally chided myself for ever doubting the power of this mix!

Each batch I make gets stored in a pint sized mason jar and lasts for quite a while even though I use it generously. It creates the perfect jazz needed to make lots of veggies and lean means worth getting excited about.

I highly recommend making a batch if you’re new to healthy eating! Don’t force yourself to choke down loads of veggies without catering to your taste buds first. That’s the fastest way to burn yourself out. Yes, you can think of taste AND health at the same time. 😉  Any Whole30-ers out there? This is a game changer.

Note that there is Cayenne in this recipe, which is too spicy for many folks. Tone it down by using less or even leave it out completely. Honestly, I welcome a little kick because it revs up my slow metabolism and distracts me from the fact that I’m eating vegetables. 😉

Rosemary & Paprika All Purpose Seasoning Mix

Total Time 10 minutes

  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Rosemary
  • 1 tbsp Thyme
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Cayenne
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder

  1. Put all the correct measurements in a pint sized mason jar. Pay attention to tsp vs tbsp.. I've made that mistake before.

  2. Put the lid on tightly and shake until well combined.

Recipe Notes

How easy is that?!

Use in liberal amounts because it's so yummy and you won't regret it.

*Use organic ingredients when possible! It's better for you. 😉
