Have you been to the farmers market yet?! The one near us opened up last week but we weren’t able to go. However, we drove past it on our way out of town and my daughter expressed her disappointment over missing out on the homemade pastries we always find there. I must say, I do enjoy walking past those booths just ‘for the smell of it’!
Only true The Office fans will remember that reference (the only reason to have Netflix). 😉
When buying healthy fruits and vegetables in season, you’re not only getting the most delicious flavor but you’re also getting the best price! So, in order to help you hit that lottery on a more consistent basis, once per month I’ll post what produce items to be on the look out for. Hopefully this helps you stick within your budget (in season produce = what you’ll find at a cheaper cost at your local grocery store) but also discover new items you wouldn’t otherwise try.
Bonus Tip: Don’t forget to take a peak at the sale circular of your local grocery store before heading out to shop! You might even find some awesome prices via local sellers as well.
If you’re Keto, note that I’ve put an * next to all the low carb options (At or less than 5g per 100g, after subtracting fiber).
