I’m a little late with this post (getting my home ready to sell has been priority #1 lately!) but let’s talk Spring produce. The weather has been throwing us some snowy curve balls lately however, the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday says mid to upper 80’s.. EEK! I can’t wait! I wore some strappy sandles to worship this morning with snow outside. It’s safe to say I’m desperate for some warm, sunny weather. 😉
When buying healthy fruits and vegetables in season, you’re not only getting the most delicious flavor but you’re also getting the best price! So, in order to help you hit that lottery on a more consistent basis, once per month I’ll post what produce items to be on the look out for. Hopefully this helps you stick within your budget (in season produce = what you’ll find at a cheaper cost at your local grocery store) but also discover new items you wouldn’t otherwise try.
Bonus Tip: Don’t forget to take a peak at the sale circular of your local grocery store before heading out to shop! You might even find some awesome prices via local sellers as well.
Hellooooo farmers markets! I can’t wait until the one starts up here next month.
If you’re Keto, note that I’ve put an * next to all the low carb options (At or less than 5g per 100g, after subtracting fiber).
In Season Fruits & Vegetables for April
Did I miss anything?
If you know of any other produce items that are in season, please share them in the comment section below.
Side Note: Don’t forget to take a long your produce bags to reduce plastic use! ♥
